Chesapeake Bay Retriever: Laudi (adopted!)

Breed: Chesapeake Bay Retriever

Age: Born Oct. 2023 approx.

Gender: intact female

Health: ear infection being treated, otherwise very healthy. Vaccinations and spay included with the adoption fee.

Ideal Home: A family, ideally with children, but adults only would do as long as she gets lots of love and attention. She's reactive around cats and other dogs, but the foster parents are working on that.

Personality: Laudi has amazing "curb appeal". On first meeting, she makes friends quickly and assumes the best of everyone, leaning in for a cuddle or a nose boop. Her fosters were amazed at how quickly she settled in to her new indoor life. She eats well and loves playing fetch with her toys. On a visit to the local credit union, she met the staff and behaved like a proper lady.

As you can see from her smile, she's a happy girl who can really light up a room. The word "sweet" is used often in conversations about Laudi.

She walks well on leash but can be reactive to other dogs. An owner with some dog training experience would do her a lot of good.

Story: Laudi was sighted several times wandering the countryside in November and December with nobody apparently missing her. With the help of Toni Gramiak's dog trap and cameras, she was caught and brought to safety.

Unbelievably nobody ever came to claim her! And when her microchip was read, it was blank.

Because there are cats and a dog in her current temporary home, it's not ideal and we'd like to move her asap. So we're inviting you to talk to us about fostering or adopting Laudi, or a foster-to-adopt arrangement.
