Virden Pet Network is...
...a non profit animal rescue and registered charity. We provide veterinary care, including mandatory spay / neuter, for our pets in rescue. They are cared for in volunteer foster homes until their adoption into responsible, loving families. We also advocate in the community for spay / neuter, humane education, and compassion towards all animals.

2011 Adoption Photo Gallery
Last year, Virden Pet Network rescued dozens of stray cats and kittens and helped reunite lost pets with their families. We also found homes for abandoned dogs such as Franklin... something we plan to do more of in 2012.
See our 2011 adoption photo gallery here. These happy endings made possible by your generous donations and our wonderful volunteers and foster parents.
How YOU Can Help Homeless Cats this Winter
Is there a stray cat hanging around your property? Now that the cold weather is upon us, these homeless animals need us more than ever. Not everyone is in a position to bring a stray into their home. But there are things you CAN do to help them:
Contact us. We can offer advice and resources.
Ask us for a free cat shelter. It can keep a cat warm through the winter.
Consider trying Trap-Neuter-Return. Spay-neuter is the only way to stop the cycle of pet overpopulation and the suffering it causes.
Learn about our Barn Buddies program which places formerly homeless cats, now fixed and vaccinated, in warm barns.
LOST: Black Lab Cross Halle went missing in Sept. 2011 from her home south of Kenton. Have you seen her?
How To Adopt
First visit our dog and cat webpages. Then, contact us by email or phone. Tell us which pet you're interested in. We'll arrange for you to meet the pet in person at the private home where he/she is being cared for. Then check out our adoption policy here.
